What is the 3-3-2?
The 3-3-2 formation consists of a back three, a central trio of midfielders, and two strikers. This structure is designed to control the middle of the pitch and force opponents to play wide, while providing quick outlets to the forward pair.
The formation relies on the athleticism of the middle three, who must act as the engine room to link the defence with the attack. It is highly effective in 9-a-side football because it occupies all areas of the pitch evenly without leaving large gaps in the defensive third.
