Subscription Plans

FormationBuilder.com offers free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans (such as Ad-Free and Premium) provide additional features including increased limits, ad-free browsing, and priority support. Pricing and plan details are displayed on our Pricing page and may change from time to time.

Billing and Payment

All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our third-party Merchant of Record. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to Lemon Squeezy's terms of service. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly, depending on your selection) and will automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. Lemon Squeezy handles all payment processing, sales tax calculation, and billing compliance. We do not store your credit card information.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Lemon Squeezy customer portal (accessible from your account settings). Upon cancellation, your paid plan benefits will remain active until the end of the current billing period. After the billing period ends, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan. No partial refunds are provided for unused time within a billing period.

Refunds

Refunds are handled in accordance with Lemon Squeezy's refund policy and applicable consumer protection laws. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact us at info@formationbuilder.com within 14 days of your purchase. For EU consumers, you have the right to withdraw from a digital content purchase within 14 days of the transaction, provided that the service has not been fully performed with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that you lose your right of withdrawal.

Ownership and Sharing of Content

All platform content is the property of FormationBuilder.com. When you use the "Share" feature, you understand that your created formation and kit designs become publicly accessible via a unique URL. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host and display this content. You retain ownership of the tactical formations, lineups, and kit designs you create. However, the tools, software, and underlying technology used to create them remain the intellectual property of FormationBuilder.com.

AI Assistant Usage

Our AI Football Assistant provides tactical advice and generates lineups using Google's Gemini API (currently using the Gemma model). This service is provided "as is" for informational and entertainment purposes. While we strive for accuracy, the AI may occasionally provide incorrect or outdated football information. AI-generated content should not be relied upon as professional coaching advice. We reserve the right to set and modify usage limits for the AI Assistant based on your subscription plan.

Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites and uses third-party services including Firebase (Google), Google Analytics, Google Adsense, Lemon Squeezy, Google Sign-In, and Apple Sign-In. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or policies of these third-party sites and services. By using these services, you also agree to their respective terms of service.

Limitation of Liability

FormationBuilder.com and its affiliates will not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use the website or its services. This includes, but is not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The website and all services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the site at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms of Use. Upon termination, any active paid subscription will be cancelled. To ensure the efficiency of our platform, we may also permanently delete accounts and all associated data for users who have not logged in for a period of 12 consecutive months.

Governing Law

These Terms of Use shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the website shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands. For EU consumers, this does not affect your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. For material changes affecting paid subscribers, we will provide notice via email or through the website. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
